For people who preorder Final Fantasy VII Remake, three special summons have been included in game that are not found in the original. Now, Square Enix have released a video that showcases these summons, allowing us to see just how the summon system works.
While they are on-screen, Summons will use their skills for the time period indicated by the purple gauge — found above the characters' life gauge. Once this bar is depleted, they will launch their unique attack before disappearing.
The video also showcases the rearranged version of the classic Victory Fanfare.
Pre-order Summons
- Carbuncle: This recurring summon operates in the same way as in other games in the series. In its normal state, it protects players with a shield, and to finish, it will cast an aura that heals and boosts your party for a short time.
- Cactuar: This summon continuously fires needles for low damage, possibly helping to fill the enemy's stagger gauge. For his finishing attack, Cactuar unleashes its signature 1000 Needles attack in a wide arc.
- Chocobo Chick: This summon casts elemental spells on the enemy targeted by the player at regular intervals. As for its finisher, it unleashes a single-target explosive attack.
