Crossplay is becoming more and more widespread in different games and allows friends who don't own the same console or play on the same platform to play together.

FIFA 21: No crossplay planned

Many fans and gamers hoped that cross-platform play would feature in FIFA 21. But unfortunately it will not for FIFA 21.

During a Q&A with EA Sports, it was revealed that there would be no crossplay coming.

We know EA Sports never does anything like the others.

It was also revealed that cross-generational play will not be present, meaning PS4 and PS5, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X players won't be able to play together.

This can be quite frustrating for many players who do not necessarily want to upgrade to Next-Gen quickly.
