Riot Games has decided to take a big step to start "the next decade of the multiverse League of Legends". Among the various announcements of the day was the confirmation of official competitive circuits for Wild Rift, the latest release from the publisher.

For the moment, it is difficult to foresee the exact shape of the Wild Rift sport circuits. Closed leagues ? Open leagues ? Occasional tournaments ? World championships ? Many questions and still few answers. However, we already know that even if we learn that the first official Wild Rift competitive events will take place in Southeast Asia.

In this region, the season will begin with several small intermittent competitive events throughout the month of March. In April, teams will enter eight local tournament circuits where they will compete for the title of local champion, and for the opportunity to compete against other local champions in the region.

As the hub of competitive MOBAs, with titles such as Arena of Valor and Mobile Legends — which have been very successful in recent years — Southeast Asia is the perfect place to host the first esport events on the game.
