If toxicity appears to be absent in Pokémon Unite, it's because there is no chat like you'd get in League of Legends, for example.
That said, the out-of-the-box quick phrase selection wheel may not be good enough just yet. A ping system would also be appreciated.

While this article obviously should be taken with humor, Pokémon Unite does require some balance changes and corrections to become a fair and even more appreciated multiplayer title.
Fortunately, TiMi Studios seems to be working on free content updates and patches on a regular basis.
The first Pokémon Unite patch is expected to land this Wednesday, August 4 on Nintendo Switch. Several attack-minded Pokémon are buffed, while Cinderace and Eldegoss are nerfed and Gengar is adjusted.
