How to unlock the crystal balls
The dragon balls are unlocked at the end of the second chapter of the game, the Frieza saga. This will bring up on-screen tutorial that will explain how they work. At least you won't have to worry about whether or not you missed them.
Where to find the crystal balls
Now all we have to do is find the famous balls. The world map will display an orange crystal ball icon on the areas where one or more balls are located.
