Tombs of Terror, the 4-wing new solo adventure of Hearthstone, was just released! Two wings only will be released this week, and the rest will follow.
The first wing is called the "Lost City of Tol'Vir", and here are all details we have for now. We will update them according to future content releases.
- This wing is completely free and immediately available at launch.
- Reno and Finley are the only heroes you can play until you unlock all wings.
- Completing the wing for the first time will award you 3 Saviors of Uldum boosters.
Twists
Each wing from Tombs of Terror is affected by a different twist. In this wing, you are invaded by Murlocs!
Don't worry, these murlocs will be summoned without any mana cost — which basically means that you'll be given free minions. Keep in mind that the Boss of the Wing has really powerful synergies with Murlocs...
Vesh, the Wing Boss
Like all bosses from Tombs of Terror, Vesh has 300 HP. Yes, you read it well: 300. You don't have to worry about that since the game will remember the number of HP left to the boss — meaning that you'll eventually beat him after several attempts.
Each boss will have its hero power transforming when reaching a specific HP threshold:
- 300-200 → Made of Murlocs
- 200-100 → Ashes Anew
- 100-0 → Mur-nado
How to beat Vesh
- He loses 3HP each time a Murloc belonging to any player is destroyed.
- Never put too many resources on the board: Vesh will frequently use Plague of Murlocs.
- Since he has 300 HP, you need to think about the long run: you'll probably not beat him on your first try.
- Try to build a proper board before he reaches 200 HP — thus unlocking his second hero power.
- When Vesh enters his second phase, you'll need AoE. The Scaly Golem that he summons has Taunt and you'll have to destroy him first most of the time (except if you have Silence effects available), meaning you'll buff ALL murlocs.
- As soon as you control the board... SMORC! All damages should go to the face, especially since Vesh will become Immune again. Keep in mind that Vesh's HP will stay the same from a fight to another: if you lowered him to 5HP the first time, then he'll start the next fight with 5 HP.
- When Vesh reaches 100 HP, make sure that no Murloc can die — otherwise, you'll reduce the cost of his hero power...
- Keep all your burst cards until the last minute!
