The 2020 rotation and the arrival of the new year will, as always, be decisive in Hearthstone.
Three expansions will rotate out of Standard mode (Witchwood, Boomsday Project and Rastakhan's Rumble) and this should create a real revolution.
While they'll still be able for playing in Wild mode, a lot of Paladin cards from the previous expansions are going to leave the Standard mode, meaning that several different archetypes that are currently shaping the meta will be affected — or will even disappear.
Some of these cards weren't really used, but the disappearance from some others will definitely be noticed...
The Witchwood
Boomsday Project
Rastakhan's Rumble
The Pair Paladin and the Odd Paladin having been strongly invited to exit the game in 2019, some new Paladin archetypes have found their place in the meta. The historic Murlocs Paladin is losing a lot with Prismatic Lenses but may well find a Midrange Paladin framework with the new Ashes of Outland cards. Shirvallah Paladin will be remembered by April 7, while the Mech Paladin should have a hard time standing without Boosmday Project cards.
There is work for Uther, but the new mechanics of the Librams could be a way out, in a possible Pure Paladin.
