The April rotation is about to hit Hearthstone! Check out which Priest cards will leave our beloved Standard format and how it will affect the class archetypes.

Hearthstone: Upcoming Priest Standard rotation

The 2020 rotation and the arrival of the new year will, as always, be decisive in Hearthstone.

Three expansions will rotate out of Standard mode (Witchwood, Boomsday Project and Rastakhan's Rumble) and this should create a real revolution.

While they'll still be able for playing in Wild mode, a lot of Priest cards from the previous expansions are going to leave the Standard mode, meaning that several different archetypes that are currently shaping the meta will be affected — or will even disappear.

Some of these cards weren't really used, but the disappearance from some others will definitely be noticed...

Everything you need to know about the Standard rotation for the Year of the Phoenix

The Year of the Phoenix is soon coming to Hearthstone, and with it the rotation of Standard mode on April 7. All the important cards that will rotate out are in this dedicated article.

Only two Priest archetypes were played at the end of the Year of the Dragon: the Combo Priest (rather a tournament deck) and the Resurrect Priest.

The first is clearly forbidden to stay from now on, as the game development team seems to wish. The Resurrect Priest will keep his main weapons ( Mass Resurrection, Rune of the Grave, Faceless Infiltrator, Plague of Death for example), but will have to react to the loss of Zilliax, Mass Hysteria or even Zerek's Cloning Gallery

For what will be playable in the times to come, it is difficult to imagine the powerful Priest, apart from a possible Priest Galakrond / Dragons but who has not received special support with the latest cards.
