Despite the resounding success of Warzone, Infinity Ward's take on a Call of Duty BR, it has been reported that Blackout could be returning alongside the 2020 entry in the franchise.
Venture Beat's Jeff Grubb posted the news on Twitter on June 9th.
Blackout first released in 2018 as part of Black Ops 4. The BR started off well before player numbers began to decline and developer support became minimal.
As of writing (June 10th) there's no concrete evidence as to what the Blackout reboot is going to look like but as more and more leaks begin to emerge regarding the new game, it's only going to be a matter of time before an official reveal takes place.
After pre-Alpha gameplay surfaced, new leaks surrounding the new game are beginning to emerge.
