Scholomance Academy brings the Soul Fragment mechanic to Hearthstone

Scholomance Academy, the second Hearthstone expansion of the Year of the Phoenix, is just around the corner.

Until the official release of the expansion on August 6, all cards will be daily revealed.

In a fashion way to Mean Streets of Gadgestzan, this new expansion is introducing dual-class cards as well as a new keyword, Spellburst, whose effect triggers after you cast a spell.

However, that's not all as another mechanic will be implemented: Soul Fragments.

Soul Fragment

The new mechanic works around Soul Shards . Some cards will allow you to add shards back to your deck, while others will destroy them to create powerful effects.

These Fragments will be available for the Demon Hunter and Warlock classes. They are played when they are drawn and will restore 2 HP to your hero, which is very powerful, especially if you take into account that these are classes that lose HP to their advantage. With this tool, the DH will be able to use his weapons more easily, while the Warlock will be able to use his power for free in terms of HP .
