An official PlayStation blog has given us a sneak peak of the new update, which adds the "Grounded" difficulty mode.
In this mode, you will be able to play with an HUD reduced to a strict minimum as well as with much tougher enemies. Ammunition and other useful items will be more scarce, and the Listen Mode disappears altogether.
The arrival of this difficulty will represent the ultimate test for fans of the game, and will be be available from the start of the game. You won't need to have finished the game previously to access it.
The other novelty is the addition of a permadeath mode. An option will exist allowing you to activate or deactivate it in each chapter, should you do not want to start from the beginning each time.
Two new trophies will be added to the list via this update — however, they will not count towards the Platinum trophy.
Do you want more?
Other than the addition of the modes mentioned above, a whole bunch of changes will take place. In particular, there's the addition of 30 new graphic-rendering options, allowing you to enjoy the game with 8-bit audi rendering or even cel-shading.
