In all online games, cheating is a real scourge, spoiling the fun of honest players who give their best to come out on top. Fall Guys is no exception, and more and more cheaters are taking advantage that the game has not yet to develop strong defenses against this phenomenon.
The developers are working at full speed to fight against cheating in all its forms, and say they will soon be able to deploy a "punch" patch, which should put a serious stop to cheaters. Without however giving a date of deployment of said patch, the Twitter account of Fall Guys recently gave the community a tip to help developers in their fight... And this one deserves to be heard as it goes against the odds. of our first reflexes!
The law of silence to fight against cheating
Yes yes you read that right. To reduce the number of active cheaters on the game, Fall Guys asks us not to post clips or videos showing their misdeeds. According to the developers, posting videos showing cheaters in action would help create more cheaters.
Worse still, sending cheat reports to game support would even be counterproductive. Indeed, all Fall Guys players are identified by a number, ranging from 0000 to 9999. But Mediatonic's game has millions of players. Also, to mention the identification number of the player in his report puts the developers in front of thousands of players, among whom is the cheater in question.
This slogan is surprising since it reverses the good practices found on many online games, such as League of Legends, where reports are encouraged.
Finally, Mediatonic recalls that regularly, cheaters are unmasked and immediately banned with the greatest firmness, pending the development of the systematic detection process.
