On October 29th, Activision's Q3 call took place. During the call, it announced the date where Warzone will be integrated into Black Ops Cold War.
It will take place alongside the launch of the first season of post-launch content in December.
Players can expect some changes in the battle royale. When Black Ops Cold War launches on November 13th, players will still experience Verdansk as it is today before it is eventually integrated into Black Ops Cold War.
Here are Activision's words on the subject:
“Black Ops Cold War's in-game content will be centered around the same game system that resonated so well with Modern Warfare players.
Starting with the game's first season of content in December, Black Ops Cold War will be integrated into Warzone. We will integrate Black Ops Cold War characters and weapons into the free play experience, along with substantial new content to ensure Warzone remains both the great experience and a powerful ramp for premium content from franchise."
Activision also announced that Black Ops Cold War will follow Modern Warfare's monetization system. The game will feature a new Battle Pass system, with weapons to be earned through free Tiers, and more. This new system started with Modern Warfare with the elimination of the Season Pass.
