In Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War, there is only one Zombies map.
When the game was launched on November 13th, players have come to expect two maps. The first is Die Maschine which is located in Poland and a second map was never confirmed.
For now, the Season 1 roadmap has only mentioned new modes for zombies and no new maps. Leaker Tom Henderson, said there probably won't be a new zombies map until February 2021 at the earliest. Further leaks have revealed that the next map will be set in Vietnam and will be called " Firebase Z ".
A document was found in the files of the game which reveals the zombies story is heading to Vietnam. This report from the Omega Group suggests that the players will be taken to the Khe Sanh region in Vietnam. We can also see that the screens that Weaver watches during the zombies cutscene, show several locations:
- Vietnam
- Russia
- Berlin
In the first Black Ops, we had a mission called "SOG" which pointed to the actual combat base of Khe Sanh in South Vietnam.
It included a detailed map of the area which could be used as the basis for a new zombies map.
In Black Ops Cold War we have a mission called "Operation Fracture Jaw" which also includes another real location, Firebase Ripcord.
A player found a bug to get out of the mission and left to explore the area. The textures are poor quality, but reveal assets used in old zombies maps. The sign for the Doctors' Quarters is the same that was used in Shi No Numa for the Richtofen Quarters.
It could mean that they are turning this location into a zombies map. Firebase Ripcord could be used as the base for Firebase Z, or maybe players can visit both through a portal like on Die Maschine.
