As the open beta arrives in Europe in a few days, we now know a little more about Riot Games' upcoming mobile game, Wild Rift.
If we already have some glimpses of what the gameplay will look like as well as the characters that will be playable from day one, we didn't yet have any information regarding a possible account link between League of Legends and Wild Rift.
May LoL players be reassured because it would seem that your efforts in the game are recognized on Wild Rift. Indeed, your Riot LoL account may be linked when you download Wild Rift, which will allow you to access different rewards, depending on your exploits in LoL.
Depending on your level in League of Legends, you can get different bonus rewards. Not enough to give an advantage over novice summoners, but just enough to reward veterans who have been fighting the Rift for years.
Be careful though: ALL the characters and skins that you unlock in LoL will not be available when you arrive on Wild Rift (don't dream either). The developers have insisted that the two games are totally different and that just because you have unlocked a playable LoL character in Wild Rift doesn't mean that you will have access to it automatically on the mobile port.
From one Rift to another
The Rift Rewards event will be responsible for rewarding LoL veterans. Please note: it will only be active until January 2, 2021.
By playing 5 games on Wild Rift, the event will allow you to get your hands on some free champions and skins, as well as an icon border. The amount of rewards you get will depend on your level in the "classic" League of Legends, but we ignore the algorithm that determines the correspondence between levels and the amount of rewards.
