Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has just started and it is getting 8 new maps to celebrate the very first season. The Gunfight mode brings several new maps alongside the 6v6 modes. Just like Modern Warfare, not all Season 1 maps will be deployed at launch, some will only be available during the season.
Black Ops Cold War lacked maps when the game first released so players are excited to get stuck into some new battlegrounds.
Season 1 Maps
Game Show - 2v2
Engage your fellow competitors in a battle of wit and gunfire, with an emphasis on gunfire. This studio setting offers plenty of places to engage in a less cerebral form of competition, from the competitor's podium to the tiered stage and 1980s photographic equipment.
ICBM - 2v2
Located inside a launch bay remote from a clandestine launch facility, engage in explosive combat under the gigantic exhausts of an intercontinental ballistic missile. A roughly circular frame, with control stations, support struts, and a central payload area, all viable options for sheltering.
KGB - 2v2
Hammer of victory at home among the ostentatious traps of the former USSR: Deep inside the famous Lubyanka KGB building is a hallway adorned with imposing marble. Seek shelter behind heavy wooden desks and tall library bookcases and get a Skirmish victory for you and your comrade.
U-Bahn - 2v2
Descend into the underground tunnels under West Berlin. Look past the lobby and tiled walls of the subway platform and storm the parked train and open subway car using the graffiti covered subway car, central support pillars and other areas as cover during this underground assault.
Maps that will arrive in Season 1
Raid - 6v6
A legendary map that debuted in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Raid is a sprawling luxury resort in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California. The fights take place in the living space, including a lush courtyard in the center of the map, a bedroom overlooking a breathtaking swimming pool, a half basketball court, a well-tended garden, and a living space for nearby guests, and the iconic mansion roundabout entrance. Don't stop to admire this magnificent dream house; The three-way design gives way to competitive 6v6 combat, especially in objective modes where the central court draws in action from all sides.
The Pines - 6v6
Located in a neon-lit New Jersey mall, The Pines is a mid-size, multi-level map at 2900 Churman Drive, just off I-189. The date is January 21, 1984, and there is hardly time to learn about the latest technology at Radio House or spend a few quarters in the Pitfall machine! of the Galaxy Room: this is where Stitch and Adler reconnect. Walk through the unique shops that populate the side lanes allows for fast-paced, intense close-quarters battles and focused combat, while heading through the middle of the mall allows for longer-range assault rifle and sniper duels.
Nuketown '84 Holiday - 6v6
One of Black Ops' most iconic maps returned before Season 1. Now get ready to celebrate a party version of this Nevada proving ground; there's a new glow coming to Nuketown '84 this holiday season!
Sanatorium - Fireteam
Deep in the Ural Plains is an experimental Soviet health retreat - the focus of a clandestine investigation by NATO forces in September 1984. Low wooded hills provide shelter for fire brigades to gain reconnaissance on the main Main circular "hotel": a brutalist architectural concrete Behemoth flanked by lakeside structures and a large wooden wharf. With links to secret tests within the U-23 State Sanatorium, notes found in the field of this sprawling complex point to a conditioning trial known as Project Golova.
