The first season of post-launch content for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and popular battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone is coming to an end.
With all scheduled content released across both titles, players are beginning to wonder what could be in store for the second season.
Despite no official release date unveiled by Treyarch, and with the end of the Season One Battle Pass fast approaching, when can players expect the new season to begin?
Here's everything we know so far.
When will Season 2 be released?
Based off when the Season One Battle Pass ends, Season Two could well start as soon as February 24th.
What can we expect from Season 2?
Black Ops Cold War
For Black Ops Cold War, we can expect new operators, new weapons, new game modes, and of course new maps.
Considering the immense success of Season One and the wide variety of content that was on offer, Season Two has to live up to the demands of the passionate community.
Based off the previous season, we can expect some more classic maps from previous Black Ops titles to make their debut alongside some original multiplayer battlefields.
It's unlikely that a brand-new Zombies map will make an appearance so soon after the release of Firebase Z, but with the rumored release of the Outbreak mode, Zombies fans could well be in for another action-packed season of content.
Warzone
Treyarch had announced that 2021 would be the year of Black Ops and we can see it clearly with the latest leaks to date which seems to announce a game mode called "Outbreak" which is emerging as a zombie mode in an open world.
We have already experienced zombies in Warzone with the Haunting of Verdansk event and it was welcomed with open arms by the community.
Alongside the crossover mode, it's more than likely that another wave of weapon balancing will take place in order to maintain some form of balance within the Warzone metagame.
Other than that, it could well be a quiet Season Two for Warzone unless Treyarch and Raven Software have some things up their sleeves!
