The second season of post-launch content for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is about to begin and while players are anticipating another season packed full of brand-new content to play, rumors are beginning to surface surrounding the 2021 release in the Call of Duty franchise.
In a now-deleted tweet by notable leaker ModernWarzone, the next instalment in the first-person shooter franchise will be set in the 1950s, implying the game could feature the Korean War.
This will be the first time the Korean War has featured in the franchise, which has previously been set in World War 2, the Cold War, and a near-futuristic setting complete with robots and exo-skeletons.
Is It True?
Considering that this is a leak, it should be taken with a grain of salt, but the possibility of a brand-new setting is certainly an exciting prospect for Call of Duty fans.
The 2021 release is being developed by Sledgehammer Games, developers of Advanced Warfare and World War 2.
As the year progresses, it is likely more teasers and leaks will emerge, so stay tuned to MGG for all the latest Call of Duty 2021 news and rumors!
