There will be no Elden Ring updates this week, supposedly due to an earlier trailer leak

Elden Ring reveal rumoured to be cancelled due to leak

Earlier this month a blurry video was leaked, a phone recording of the Elden Ring trailer – it has been a highly anticipated title since it was first revealed in 2019. And fans have been clamoring for information about the collaboration between director Hidetaka Miyazaki, and renowned author George R.R. Martin.

VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grub reported that the reveal of Elden Ring may have been cancelled due to the leak of the Elden Ring trailer. He talks about a push back in plans in his latest video – however, the wait may not be too long for a trailer reveal, since one was already planned for this month.

There are rumours of a Microsoft showcase planned for later this month, and E3 getting ready to kick off. So this could mean new announcements and reveals, including more on the Elden Ring.

It does seem a little odd that a leak could push back a trailer – usually publishers would continue on with reveals, or possibly even push things forward. Hopefully though, this means something more official could be in the works for us soon.
