After a leaked commercial promoting Warzone surfaced online, numerous screenshots showcasing a revamped map have leaked.

Contrary to reports that the new map will be set in the Ural Mountains, it appears that players will be heading back to the 1980s and dropping into a new-look Verdansk.

The images above show new looks to Verdansk's airport, TV station, and downtown areas alongside what appears to be the addition of the Duga-2 Radar array which features in the campaign for Black Ops Cold War.

This news will be disappointing for those expecting a brand-new map to arrive in the battle royale. Technically, the map will be new but with a sense of familiarity as the majority of areas already in Verdansk will not be changing.

As per a report by VGC, the new map will launch through an in-game event taking place on April 22nd, coinciding with the release of Season 3.
