It's finally here, the final season of Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty Vanguard. Since 6 p.m. now, players can enjoy Season 5 Last Stand, before the two titles bow out. Check out the full Patch Note.

For a few minutes, season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty Vanguard has indeed been available for everyone: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC players. And to memorably end Raven Software's Battle Royale, which has been available since March 2020, what could be better than welcoming a few antagonists?

In addition to the arrival of the latter, new weapons have appeared, as well as several new equipment and modes. Here's everything you need to know about this final and final season of Call of Duty: Warzone.

Weekday Game Mode Rotation

For the first four weeks of Season 5, we'll be offering daily Monday-Thursday rotations for some of our communities' favorite game modes, while the weekends will be dedicated to an MLT in addition to our regular rotations.

On weekdays, one of the following modes will be rotated daily:

  • Caldera Resurgence Quads
  • Caldera Iron Trials Quads
  • Rebirth Resurgence Quads
  • Rebirth Iron Trials Quads

    In addition to the above, the following game modes will still be available Monday through Thursday:

  • Battle Royale (Singles, Duos, Trios, Quads)
  • Fortune's Keep Resurgence (Solos, Duos, Trios, Quads)
  • Plunder (Quads)

    Our community has let us know that you want a more regular Pillage rotation. So throughout Season 5 Plunder will be featured prominently and we'll be monitoring sentiment and engagement with this change.

Season 5 - Battle Pass

This Battle Pass includes 100 tiers of new content, an all-new Operator, two new weapons, and two dozen free items:

EVENTS

Heroes vs. Villians - A Last Stand Community Event New Event | August 24 - September 14

Choose your side and lead it to victory. Score Faction Points by collecting Villain or Hero Tokens or contributing to their funding at the Buy Station in all game modes. By contributing to a Faction, you will also get a discount on an item in all purchasing items.

The winning team's unique weapon blueprint will be given to all participants after the event. Players also have the chance to earn other exclusive rewards, like the Legendary Animated Calling Card "One on One", Hero or Villain Weapon Charm, Melee Weapon Blueprint "Conflict Spike ", the "Time Duality" watch, and much more.

Operation: Last Call New Caldera Mode | Season launch

In this limited-time mode inspired by Search and Destroy, you can choose to defend Caldera by defusing bombs around the island, or sabotage it by detonating explosives at designated sites. Witness two different outcomes, depending on your performance and your intention to cause chaos.

Here's what you can expect from this mode:

  • It's a full map mode.
  • Players start with their loadout.
  • The Resurgence spawn system is enabled but players cannot be wiped.
  • It's raining giant lava rocks!
  • Players should keep an eye on the volcano counter for volcanic activity, also represented by an increasingly smoky atmosphere.

Fortune's Keep Resurgence Mode Update

As we mentioned in the Season 4 patch notes, we've been looking at the sentiment and pacing data for Fortune's Keep Resurgence, as the focus of this new map has always been to provide a time of action similar to that of Rebirth Island Resurgence. Thank you to all of our players who have signed up and shown their love for the new "Fortunes Keep Extreme" map and LTM. That said, we're happy to report that we've made some adjustments based on your feedback:

  • Solos:
    - 50 players, instead of 45
    - +5 teams
  • Duets:
    - 50 players, instead of 46
    - +2 teams
  • Threesomes:
    - 51 Players, compared to 45
    - +2 teams
  • Quads:
    - 52 players, compared to 40 previously
    - teams +3
    With this increase in additional players, we've also increased the availability of Supply Boxes, as we're happy with the loot rate based on team size.

Increased volcanic activity has been recorded in Caldera, a major geological event occurring with the launch of Season 5. Battle around a transformed peak as lava tumbles down the mountainside in all modes and spills out on the island during Operation: Last Call.

Task Force Tyrants HQ POI Extension

No self-respecting villain operates without an evil lair. That's why Task Force Tyrants claimed the Peak and turned it into something of a dangerous place...an inland cove with flowing lava, basalt columns and stepping stones, a giant crest, colorful and ornate for their secret organization, and a beautiful view of a war-torn Caldera.

Rebirth after dark : new weather and new lighting

Rebirth Island will also receive a special limited-time mode, "Rebirth After Dark," from Friday, September 2 through Sunday, September 4, which will allow players to experience this fan-favorite experience after the sun goes down.

BUGS FIXES

  • Fixed collision issues with various elements of Caldera/Fortune's Keep allowing players to mine, stare at, or shoot through them.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the player from equipping armor plates after interacting with a Buy Station.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the player from redeeming a teammate when the Perk Hardline is equipped.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Prestige levels to display incorrectly in Barracks.
  • Fixed an issue where some Emblems and Calling Cards were automatically unequipped.
  • Fixed an issue where the out of bounds warning would get stuck on screen in the pre-match lobby.

GAMEPLAY

Doomsday Station: new gameplay | Caldera Battle Royale

  • This unique station can be activated for $10,000, causing enemy AI to invade the position via a helicopter drop.
  • Rewards can be looted by any player, regardless of who activated the station.
  • One station will spawn per match, with multiple possible spawn locations.
  • A unique cosmetic watch skin will be rewarded to players who fully activate and secure the station.

Supply Drones New Killstreak | All maps and all modes

This new Killstreak can be activated to mark nearby, unopened Supply Boxes on the Tac Map for 20 seconds.

This Killstreak can be looted from Supply Boxes or purchased from a Buy Station for $3,000.
If you activate more than 3 Supply Box UAVs in a short time, you will activate an Advanced Supply Box UAV, which will have a much stronger effect.

  • Supply box types are represented by colors:
    Blue = Standard Supply Box
    Orange = Legendary Supply Box
    Red = Resurgence Supply Box
    Pink = Personal Supply Box

Personal Supply Box New loot supply box on all maps and modes.

This unique supply box will spawn a player's "favorite" loadout weapons and reward the player with 2,000 XP.
Players can "set her as favorite" via the Weapons -> Edit Loadout menus.

Rage Serum New Field Upgrade | All maps and all modes

  • Players can use this field buff to increase their close combat abilities for 40 seconds.
  • The positive effects are:
    - Movement speed increased by 8%.
    - Damage with melee or unarmed weapons is increased by 50%.
    - Lunge distance increased to 3.2 meters, up from 1.4 meters when standing.
    - Melee stun power increased by 50%.
  • The negative effects are:
    - Players have a louder presence
    - Visible "rage" effects on the operator.
    - Vulnerability to stuns and flashes increased by 40%.
    - This effect can be countered by the "Battle Hardened" perk.

QUALITY OF LIFE

Precision Airstrikes

  • Improved precision airstrike hazard notification to be more consistent with airstrike target location and nearby enemies.
  • Implemented a fix for precision air strikes sometimes not hitting the target location, but instead hitting the player from behind unexpectedly.
    - This was occurring in rare situations where a player was positioned significantly higher than the target when delivering the shot.
  • Added a hazard notification to the UI if the player launching a Cluster Strike or Precision Airstrike is too close to the target site.

  • Undug C4 is now placed horizontally

    Auto/manual gas mask gear adjustment

  • A feature has been added to the quick inventory menu to allow the user to enable/disable the gas mask.
    Note: This option is only available if the user chooses to manually enable or disable the gas mask in the Settings menu.

    Buy Station Updates

  • New Drone Killstreak Supply Box has been added to the Buy Station inventory.
  • The Buy Station inventory now scrolls to show all available options.

    We added a setting that allows the loadout UI to remember the last loadout selected.

    Aircraft respawn functionality in Battle Royale modes | During the season

  • Planes will no longer respawn after being destroyed.
    This change does not apply to respawn modes, such as looting.

  • Fire damage is no longer reduced.
  • Explosive damage no longer decreases.
  • Players must now be in a tactical sprint for Serpentine to be effective.
    - This change will come later in the season.

    Hardened in battle

  • Stun and flash resistance increased to 80%, from 50% and 70% respectively.

Season 5 is all about expanding the options even further by improving the best performing weapons, as well as individual weapons and weapon classes that are underutilized.

    Vanguard sniper rifles were held back by their restriction on the use of sniper ammo. In Season 5, we're making big changes to these weapons so they can use Assault Rifle ammo instead, while rebalancing the handling and damage potential of each weapon in the class.

    sniper rifles

    Snipers have almost reached their ideal utilization rate and for the first time we see a good distribution of the different weapons used depending on the map and the situation. With the rebalancing of some vanguard optics and further flinch reduction, we expect this weapon class to be in a strong position going forward.

    LW3 - Tundra (BOCW)

  • Damage range increased to 69 yards, up from 61 yards.
  • Damage multiplier for upper torso increased to 1.52, down from 1.1.
  • Lower torso damage multiplier increased to 1.3, down from 1.05.
  • Endpoint damage multiplier increased from 0.9 to 1.0.
  • ADS transition time reduced to 430ms, down from 460ms.

OPERATORS

New 20 Tier progression for Operators

The four Operators of Task Force Tyrants all feature 20-tier XP progression, with three Operator quips, additional skins, XP boosts, and more. Equip their favorite weapons and complete their individual challenges to level up faster. Raise all four members of the Tyrants to level 20 to unlock their Mastery Reward Operator skins.

Task Force Tyrants begin rolling out on August 24 with the launch of Last Stand, the fifth season of Vanguard and Call of Duty®: Warzone™. It's okay to be bad, and here are the worst of the worst. It's time to become notorious.

A Middle Eastern warlord and key antagonist throughout the Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® series, Al-Asad is the second of the "Four Horsemen", second only to Vladimir Makarov himself.

Unlock the infamous Operator with the Khaled Al-Asad Operator Pack, which will be released in the store shortly after the launch of the Last Stand season.

Additionally, players who digitally pre-ordered the Cross-Gen (console), Standard (PC), or Vault Edition (console or PC) versions of Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II will receive the Khaled Al- Asad and will have immediate access to it when it becomes available in the store, for use in Vanguard and Call of Duty®: Warzone™.
