The ongoing battle between Warzone publisher Activision, developer Raven Software, and cheaters within the battle royale has been raging on for several months.
While the publisher has upped its efforts to prevent players from using third-party programs to gain an unfair advantage over their opponents, players are still slipping through the net, much to the annoyance of players wanting a fair playing experience.
During a recent live stream, popular content creators TimTheTatMan and CouRageJD were playing a match when they encountered a hacker.
While spectating the player that was clearly using some kind of aimbot, the player suddenly disappeared from the match, leaving CouRage and TimTheTatMan in a state of confusion before realizing that the hacker had in fact been hit with a ban.
Upon realizing, both erupted in celebration having removed the cheater from the battle royale.
This particular ban is one of the very first that has been captured on video. Did CouRage's tweets to Raven Software result in the eventual ban? Or was this occasion a coincidence as it was caught on camera? We will never know the answer but it is hugely positive to see the developer and publisher taking action against hackers.
