As Warzone prepares to enter the second half of Season 3, developer Raven Software has revealed that over half a million accounts that have been caught cheating have been banned from the battle since the game released back in March 2020.
Cheaters have been a constant issue for Warzone players, much to their annoyance. With a lack of dedicated anti-cheat, Raven Software and Activision have relied on regular waves of bans in order to combat the issue.
With the latest revelation, the ban waves are certainly making an impact.
Raven Software also revealed that over 30,000 accounts had been banned on May 13th, much to the delight of Warzone players that seem to encounter a player using some kind of exploit on a regular basis.
While the constant ban waves are a positive, calls are still being made for Activision to implement a dedicated anti-cheat that works around the clock in order to provide a more permanent solution to the problem.
Nonetheless, it's great to see the publisher and developer continuing to take action on an issue that has plagued Warzone since its release.
