Season 4 of Warzone saw some major changes implemented into the hugely popular battle royale. Alongside the addition of new weapons into the ever-expanding arsenal, new points of interest to explore, and a new Operator to unlock, Raven Software introduced a brand-new iteration of the Gulag that replicated Hijacked, a classic multiplayer map from Black Ops 2.
As players continue to get to grips with an all-new Gulag layout, many are expressing their frustrations surrounding footstep audio that is made by those spectating the action from the rafters. Being able to hear the opponent's footsteps in a Gulag match can often be the difference between redeploying into the action or bringing a game to a premature end.
Warzone Hijacked Gulag Footstep Audio
Despite Season 4 being in its infancy, several players are already left frustrated with the inability to hear their opposition in the Gulag. Reddit user "Vyra_Static" was one of the first players to bring up the topic and it quickly got the community talking.
While many players agreed with their statement, others countered the argument stating that being unable to hear the footsteps of an opponent encourages more aggressive gameplay rather than attempting to hide in a corner.
"I actually like that you hear their footsteps," stated user 'AbouBakaraKeita.' "IF it was just you and your adversary the Gulag would become even more campy," they added.
With plenty of players supporting both sides of the argument, it's unclear as to whether Raven Software will intervene.
Will It Be Fixed?
It's unlikely that any kind of fix to the Gulag's loud footstep audio will be arriving anytime soon, so it's probably best for players to get used to it and use it to their advantage if they want to get back into the action.
