We are almost a week away from Pokémon GO Fest 2021. There has been a lot of news about different aspects of it for a while now: a special sponsor, In-Person events and many features about each day. However, today the Pokémon Company has revealed what seem to be the final details about this great celebration.
To start with, every Trainer will be able to do a maximum of six Special Trades each day, from July 16 to the end of the Fest, July 18. For those who don't know why this is important, it’s worth mentioning that, normally, a player can’t do more than one Special Trade per day. However, on this occasion Trainers will be able to exchange multiple Legendary and Shiny Pokémon in a few days.
Then, specific Pokémon will be appearing more frequently and some customizable ones will make their debut, too. For example, you’ll be able to catch a Pikachu that wears a Meloetta-inspired hat during both days of the event. Plus, on July 17, Galarian Ponyta and Galarian Zigzagoon also wearing Meloetta-inspired hats will be available in one-star raids. Three-star raids will feature Galarian Weezing, Hitmontop, and Cranidos.
Regarding avatar items, some exclusive music-themed ones will be available for purchase in the in-game shop. On the other hand, Trainers that have purchased the tickets for the event will receive an exclusive Meloetta Shirt avatar item after having completed Fest 2021’s Special Researches. If you aren’t going to buy a ticket, don’t worry: every player will get a free shirt avatar item.
Lastly, we need to talk about Ultra Unlock. This is a series of unique rewards available after completing a certain amount of Global Challenges at the Arena. For example, after successfully completing eight of these challenges, Trainers will access “Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time”. From July 23 to August 3, Pokémon from numerous eras will appear more frequently. Completing sixteen Global Challenges will give access to “Ultra Unlock Part 2: Space”, which will make Pokémon of different regions appear at the same time. This will last from August 6 to August 17.
Those who finish 24 Global Challenges will be rewarded with access to Part 3, but the features about this one haven’t been revealed, yet. Also, keep in mind that you need to have the event’s ticket in order to participate at the Arena.
