After its showcase at Microsoft’s and Bethesda’s E3 2021 conference, we learned more about Halo Infinite’s multiplayer. The online experience will be free-to-play, offering new character progression and battle pass systems, the existence of bots, a training mode, and more.
In a recent interview, Lead Multiplayer Designer Andrew Witts answered some questions about his career and the work around this entry. When asked what he did daily in his role at 343 Industries, he revealed that Halo Infinite will feature a “Mark System”. This seems to be a mechanic similar to the one that many multiplayer games already have, such as Apex Legends and Warzone, but it’s new to Halo.
While we don't have a confirm release date for Halo Infinite, it was said during E3 2021 that the team expected to launch the game before the end of the year. However, we haven't seen much about the campaign content in a while, so don't be surprised if it gets delayed one more time.
