At dawn, on March 1st, the Elden Ring servers underwent a small maintenance to correct the various problems related to multiplayer. After this morning's quick fix, which doesn't require an update, the online servers are once again open and ready to welcome any Shatterless in need.
What were the multiplayer issues?
Despite Elden Ring patch note 1.05.1, co-op stability was still not present, despite fixing incompatibility errors on Xbox . The game was not able to link with the online servers of the different game platforms, which could make it impossible to summon a teammate or even invade PvP from another player. For those who managed to join despite these problems, the cooperation was more than shaky, which led to complaints from the community.
After hearing their players, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have jointly announced that Elden Ring will benefit from a new correction on March 1st on all its gaming platforms (PlayStation, Xbox and PC). This morning maintenance should logically improve some multiplayer features so that players can finally play freely with their friends. Therefore, between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. this morning, it was quite logical not to see messages from other players, players in cooperation or even in PvP.
What if I still can't summon a player?
Some people think it's a bug when the message "Unable to summon a teammate" is displayed. This problem occurs when the person who was meant to be in cooperation with you is already being summoned by another person. Bad timing, but definitely not a bug. If you have any problem summoning a friend, do not hesitate to consult our guide which will allow you to understand all the flaws of summons and PvP. If problems persist, the best thing is to make a ticket to Bandai Namco.
