When it was released on PC and PlayStation consoles, Stray unleashed passions, as surprising as it may be, whatever, not that much in real life! Who has never wanted to be a little cat, and make a living by walking around? This game is certainly one of the most effective remedies we have found to have a good time, chill, rested, and discover the futuristic world offered by BlueTwelve Studio .
If its success has been explosive on PlayStation, it has also been so on Steam, so much so that it even dethroned the title that was in first place in the ranking of the best games of 2022 according to player ratings via Steam250: God of War.
Stray is not afraid of Kratos!
Yes, Kratos had better watch out! Our guy unfortunately lost his first place to let our little ginger cat replace him and show off in first position. On Steam, via steam250 therefore, players have indeed been generous with the Stray title, with no less than 46,244 votes, 98% of which are positive, for a score of 8.61 , which is higher than that from God of War. The title of the SIE Santa Monica studio has indeed a score of “only” 8.53 based on 53,182 votes, 97% of which are positive .
However, despite this fine performance, which should be highlighted, Stray still has a long way to go before it can reach the top of Steam250's "all-time ranking". Indeed, in the latter, the title of BlueTwelve Studio is only in 49th place, with far far ahead of Portal 2 which holds the score of 8.83 on the basis of 301,930 votes, of which 99% of the latter are positive. In second place of this top 250 we find Terraria with a score of 8.83 on a basis of 985,943 votes, 98% of which are positive, and in third place the immense Stardew Valley which holds a score of 8.81 based on 484,435 votes, 98% of which are also positive.
How to have fun on Stray once the game is over?
If Stray's playing time may seem a bit short to you, there are already several fun mods to test on PC to rediscover the title, but in a new way. Modders have indeed wasted no time in offering very different versions of the game, starting with a crossover with Heavy Rain. In this mod, here the cat's meows are transformed into the cries of Jason's father in Heavy Rain, and the result is both super funny but also super cringe.
