If Rise of Shadows has brought 5 villains to the forefront on Hearthstone, it is possible that the second extension of the Year of the Dragon will bring them 4 opponents we already know well. If all the recent clues lead to the League of Explorers, it would be interesting to imagine the classes Brann, Elise, Reno and Finley could represent.
We can assume that the Demonist, Shaman, Warrior, Priest and Thief classes are already taken by Rafaam, Hagatha, Dr. Boum, Lazul and Togwaggle.
Elise cannot be anything else than the Druid [CONFIRMED]
Rather a default choice, as it is difficult to imagine Elise as a Hunter or as a Mage. Another argument in his favor actually comes from World of Warcraft. In the MMORPG, some classes can only be played by choosing a character from a specific race. Since Elise is a troll, she's the only member of the League of Explorers that can play a Druid.
Edit 07/03: We got this one right! Just check below in our article dedicated to The Saviors of Uldum
The Mage Reno Jackson
Mage
- If Finley ends up embodying the Paladin as discussed below, then Reno could be the muse of the Mage class. The Mage Reno deck was indeed very popular in the era of monkey decks. And another relevant clue (or maybe not): the epic Mage spell, Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saronspell, an epic Mage spell, has the ambient text "Put the box down, Reno!
Brann Bronzebeard: do you remember the Dwarf Hunter?
Those of us who played World of Warcraft can't forget it: the Dwarf Hunter from the first ever trailer of the game — 15 years ago. We could then seen a Dwarf Hunter walking with his bear through snowy mountains of Alterac. Once again, since the Paladin is taken by Reno, the only class that can fit a long beard character such as Bard is the Hunter
Sir Finley Mrrgglton: the Paladin
Paladin
- The Paladin class also has a history with the Murlocs. It was about the only class that could make a decent Murlocs archetype work, even better than the Shaman. It was also the class that had the spell that resurrected 7 Murlocs, and so on. Even if we can agree that imagining Finley in heavy armor and a hammer would be really ridiculous... Fun, but ridiculous! (And then our eyes turn to the big golden fish that could be used as a hammer that Finley holds in his hand...).
