Sam Braithwaite had dropped some clues, now it's official. On May 15, the changes on Qualifiers Masters Tour have been revealed: rewards for regular players, and a new format for the upcoming tournaments. However, these changes won't be live until June 7.

Hearthstone, Qualifiers Masters Tour changes

We announced it some hours ago, and it's now done: Qualifiers Masters Tour will see some drastic changes, as announced by Franchise Lead Sam Braithwaite. Here are the upcoming changes (starting June 7):

  • Number reduced of Qualifier
  • 2 qualified players in each tournament (instead of 1)
  • Number reduced of contenders in Qualifiers
  • Single-elimination brackets instead of round tables
  • The players who get to Top 8 automatically get an invite (to reward their consistency)

The players who will have accomplished that during the Las Vegas Qualifiers will retroactively receive an invite. Here is the list:

  • hone
  • Warma
  • T4COTASTIC
  • Guntofire
  • Vinz
  • Saturos
  • Paradox
  • Cosmo
  • WoT
  • kirilius
  • 樂天盜賊
  • Bertels

Sam Braithwaite also says that he is likely to make some changes on the Specialist format itself, but they would be announced after the Las Vegas event and the first weeks of Hearthstone Grandmasters (which will begin on May 17).
