Masters Tour Bucharest just ended with the victory of Canadia player Eddie! However, the outcome of this Hearthstone tournament was more than a simple prize pool... That's right, a promotion to the Grandmasters was at stake for many participants!
At the end of the day, six players (two per regions) were relegated:
- Orange (team SKT T1, Division A Europe)
- Fenomeno (team SKT T1, Division B Europe)
- Strifecro (team Sentinels, Division A Americas)
- Rase (team Genji, Division B Americas)
- Bloodtrail (Division A APAC)
- Pathra (team Omnislash, Division B APAC)
Americas Region
To replace Stifecro and Rase, two players distinguished themselves: Empanizado, the Mexican player and languagehacker, a Canadian player.
- Empanizado completed this Masters Tour Bucharest in 7-2 , narrowly missing the top 8.
- languagehacker of the Lazarus team, ended in 6-2 this tournament, but if he won his place in GM, it is notably thanks to his excellent ranking during the HCT World Championship 2019. He comes from the same team as Eddie, the big winner of this Masters Tour Bucharest, but also from bloodyface who will be one of the 8 qualified for the Blizzcon.
Europe Region
Replacing Orange and Fenomeno, two Frenchmen are joining the Grandmasters.
- Felkeine of the Solary team, with her victory in Seoul, had secured her place for some time. Finishing in 5-4 in Bucharest, he could not fight for the title again.
- Zhym of the Helios team, was very close to the title in Seoul. Losing in the final against his comrade Felkeine, his promotion to GM was more complicated and dependent on the results of others, since he also finished in 5-4 in Bucharest.
APAC Region
Bloodtrail and Patra being relegated, it is Posesi and kin0531 who take their place in Grandmasters.
- Posesi had finished 4th in the Masters Tour Las Vegas, giving him a good chance to pass GM. He finished in 7-2 this Masters Tour Bucharest, not allowing him to reach the Top8.
- kin0531 wins his place in GrandMaster thanks to his very good performance during this Masters Tour where he finished second behind Eddie.
