Valheim Guide: Barley, where to find it and what you can do with it

Barley, like Flax, is a necessity when it comes to Valheim. Here’s our guide on where to find it, and how to craft Barley Flour

Valheim Guide: Barley, where to find it and what you can do with it

Barley can be found on the Plains – in the same place as Flax – in the Fuling’s Villages. Get rid of the Fulings, and then look for small patches of cultivated land, collect the Barley and then head on back to your base. And remember, Barley can only be cultivated on the Plains biome. You can’t consume Barley as is, so you’ll need to craft it into Barley Flour.

How to Craft Barley Flour

Build the Windmill – you’ll need an Artisan Table for this – using the following:

  • 20 x Stone
  • 30 x Wood
  • 30 x Iron Nails

Make sure you have access to both entrances of the Windmill, since Barley goes in the front and Barley Flour comes out the back. The Windmill, as implied by its name, will only work when there’s wind to power it.
