Tower of Fantasy is available since August 11, 2022 and this new gacha game lets you experience a futuristic open-world adventure with an MMORPG aspect. Your goal is therefore not only to explore the different regions, to complete quests but also to summon characters and improve them. On ToF, the summoning system is a bit special and allows you to actually obtain weapons with various rarity levels: N - R - SR - SRR. Attached to these weapons are characters called Simulacrums only for SR and SSR rarities. Today, we're looking more specifically at Tsubasa and her Ice Wind Arrow weapon.
Tsubasa: Presentation of the SSR and banners
Tsubasa is part of the game's permanent banner (obtainable with Golden Nuclei) but you also have a low chance of getting it on the game's very first temporary banner (Nemesis), which lasts from August 11, 2022 (launch of the Thu) as of August 31, 2022.
- Gender : Female
- Height : 169cm
- Birthday date : March 24 (Aries)
- Japanese voice : Konomi Kohara (Mona in Genshin Impact)
- English voice : Amber Lee Connors
The different skins
If you get Tsubasa's weapon multiple times, then you can increase his star level. At the end of the 3-star level , you get a different skin for the Tsubasa Simulacrum. As a reminder, it is possible to use the weapon without putting on Tsubasa's appearance.
Favorite gifts to give him

Icy Wind Arrow weapon effect
- Ice Shell : Fully charged weapons freeze the target for 2 seconds and leave them frozen for 6 seconds. Breaking the ice shell deals bonus damage equal to 151.00% ATK. While frozen, the target's weapon charge rate is reduced by 50%.
How is Tsubasa/Icy Wind Arrow played and with whom/what weapon?
Tsubasa is a DPS which is obviously used from a distance with his bow but which above all allows him to maintain a series of damage buffs over a long period of time. Like Meryl, Tsubasa's attacks slow and freeze enemies . However, she is much more mobile. With her, you can absolutely create a three-piece team with Nemesis and King, although Nemesis will preferably be played in a duo with another Lightning character.
- His strengths : very good ranged damage, series of active damage buffs, including one via his dodge attacks with his 1st star advancement.
- Its weak points : obviously not enough on its own, if only to break shields
Progression: How to improve Icy Wind Arrow?
The 6 star levels
Each SR and SSR weapon can progress up to a 6-star level. Initially, your weapon will be at 0 stars and you will therefore have to improve it 6 times to reach the maximum level, but this means that you will have to obtain the same weapon 7 times to improve it.
- 1★: Grants a new stack of Sharp Arrow each time the arrow fired by a dodge attack hits a target. Each stack increases damage by 5% for 15 seconds. Stack up to 3 times.
- 2★: Increases base ATK growth of current weapon by 16%.
- 3★: Launching a dodge attack fires 3 charged arrows.
- 4★: Increases base ATK growth of current weapon by 32%.
- 5★: Doubles the duration of Rain of Arrows and slows targets by 25%.
- 6★: Rain of Arrows stacks up to 5 times. If you hit a target with Charged Arrow you immediately get 3 stacks, and if you headshot you get 5 stacks.
The necessary upgrade materials
In addition to improving the stars of your weapon, you can also strengthen it and increase it up to 5 times. Be careful, this costs materials but also Gold and sometimes requires having the right level of adventure. For Icy Wind Arrow, you will need the following materials:

- Explosive Barrage : When the weapon's charge is full or the Fantasy is triggered, remove all debuffs from the wearer, and create a hailstorm at the target location when switching to this weapon, dealing damage equal to 570 % ATK + 30. Storm has a 10% chance to inflict a 2 second freeze effect. Gain a cold front, increasing damage dealt by 15%, and speed by 45% for 7 seconds.
Recommended matrices
There are only 4 die slots to put on your weapon. A bit like artifacts, the matrices work in sets: the more pieces of the same set you put, the more the set in question grants bonuses. For Tsubasa, it is recommended to put either a 4-piece set of Samir on him in order to complete the DPS and the series of buffs.
