Tower of Fantasy is available since August 11, 2022 and this new gacha game lets you experience a futuristic open-world adventure with an MMORPG aspect. Your goal is therefore not only to explore the different regions, to complete quests but also to summon characters and improve them. On ToF, the summoning system is a bit special and allows you to actually obtain weapons with various rarity levels: N - R - SR - SRR. Attached to these weapons are characters called Simulacrums only for SR and SSR rarities. Today, we're looking more specifically at Samir and his dual EM Stars weapon.
Samir: Presentation of the SSR and banner
Samir is part of the game's permanent banner (obtainable with Golden Nuclei) but you also have a low chance of getting him on the game's very first temporary banner (Nemesis), which lasts from August 11, 2022 (launch of the Thu) as of August 31, 2022.

The different skins
If you get Samir's weapon multiple times, then you can increase his star level. At the end of the 3-star level , you get a different skin for the Samir Simulacrum. As a reminder, it is possible to use the double EM Stars weapon without putting on the appearance of Samir.

- 1200 Awakening Points: Trickery - Grants 1 stack of Focus every 4 seconds when Samir takes no damage. Each stack increases damage dealt by 3%, and can stack up to 4 times. After being hit, Samir loses 1 stack of Focus, up to 1 stack per second.

Currently, the only way to get Double EM Stars, Samir's SSR weapon, is to summon on the permanent or temporary banner. Some World Bosses give you a chance to loot the weapon: Robarg, Apophis, Cryobot, Lucia and Sobek.
Good to know : a launch event currently allows you to obtain the SSR of your choice for free.
Dual EM Stars Weapon Effects
- Lightning : When weapon is fully charged, next attack Paralyzes targets for 1 second and Electrifies them for 6 seconds, removing all buffs and dealing damage equal to 144.00% ATK. Targets can no longer receive buffs for the next 6 seconds.
How is Samir/Stars EM double played and with whom/what weapon?
To start the adventure, Samir (or at least his weapon) is an excellent DPS who can fight from a distance and therefore limit damage if you are afraid of confronting enemies stronger than you. In addition, she is extremely skilled in dogfights with her two railguns. Lightning type, it is clearly one of the characters to prioritize if you have decided to summon Nemesis and use the elemental resonance of the latter. In short, mixing security and high damage, Samir is an excellent character to start with but who can also be kept later in the adventure or in multiplayer.

- His weak points : Samir cannot break shields. In addition to Nemesis in your team, it is therefore advisable to take a breaker like KING who, in addition, has the Fire type.
Progression: How to upgrade Double EM Stars?
The 6 star levels
Each SR and SSR weapon can progress up to a 6-star level. Initially, your weapon will be at 0 stars and you will therefore have to improve it 6 times to reach the maximum level, but this means that you will have to obtain the same weapon 7 times to improve it.
- 1★: Triggers an electrical explosion at the target after landing a critical hit, dealing bonus damage equal to 30% ATK to the target and nearby enemies. Reload: 0.5 seconds.
- 2★: Increases base ATK growth of current weapon by 16%.
- 3★: Increases the CRIT rate of electrified targets by 40%. Electric Blasts extend the duration of Shock effects by 0.5 seconds, up to a maximum of 5 seconds.
- 4★: Increases base ATK growth of current weapon by 32%.
- 5★: Doubles the duration of Electric Field and pulls targets into the center of the attack.
- 6★: Triggers an electrical explosion that reduces skill cooldowns by 1 second.

In addition to improving the stars of your weapon, you can also strengthen it and increase it up to 4 times. Be careful, this costs materials but also Gold and sometimes requires having the right level of adventure. For Double EM Stars, you will need the following materials:

All SSR Weapon Skills Dual EM Stars
Normal
- Double Fire : While on the ground, perform the normal attack to attack 5 times in a row.
- Bullet Rain : While airborne, use normal attack to fire continuously at the ground, dealing damage equal to 50.6% ATK + 63. Consumes 220 Stamina.
- Energy Blast: Hold the attack button to sustain a steady fire, each hit dealing 23% ATK + 29 base damage.
- Ghost Kick : While airborne, touch and hold normal attack to trigger Ghost Kick. Knocks the target down, dealing damage equal to 70.5% ATK + 4. On landing, dealing 98.7% ATK + 5 damage to nearby targets and throwing them.
Dodge
- Ascending Lightning Kick : Use normal attack after dodging to knock targets in the air and deal damage equal to 122.6% ATK + 6.
- Dodge : Dodge just before being hit to trigger a Fantasy, which reduces the speed of enemies in a given area. You are immune to stuns for 0.5 seconds while dodging.
Dual EM Stars Special Skill
- Electric Field : Fires a field of energy at the target location, reflecting the rays inside the barrier. Deals damage equal to 269.8% ATK + 14, and the final hit knocks targets into the air. 45 second cooldown.
Discharge (ult)
- Domain of Thunder : When the weapon's charge is full or a Fantasy is triggered, remove all debuffs from the wearer and create a Domain of Thunder at the target location when switching to this weapon, inflicting a total of 238 .3% ATK + 13 damage on 3 attacks to enemies in the area and dispelling their buffs. Domain lasts 3.5 seconds and deals damage equal to 42.4% ATK + 2 to a target every 0.5 seconds.
Recommended matrices
There are only 4 die slots to put on your weapon. A bit like artifacts, the matrices work in sets: the more pieces of the same set you put, the more the set in question grants bonuses. For Double EM Star, it is recommended to put either a 4-piece Samir set on it in order to increase aerial damage even more.
Set x2 : Gradually increases damage by 1% when hitting a target. Stacks up to 10/13/16/20 times. Lasts 1.5 seconds.
Set x4 : Increases weapon Electric Explosion damage by 16%/22%/30%/40% ATK.
