If you follow Overwatch competitive scene, Contenders won't be a novelty for you. If you're interested in talent from all over the world, this tournament should delight you, which is why we summarize everything for you before the start of the season.

Overwatch Contenders 2020: program, teams and schedule

Contenders 2020 new season is coming soon, and we finally have the whole program available for North America and Europe. Contenders are the Tier 2 of the Overwatch competitive scene — while the Contenders Trials are their gateway. This pool of players allows the Overwatch League to live and recruit, especially with their Academic teams that allow new talents to be trained.

Matches will take place in a new studio, as the Contenders have partnered with TakeTV to produce the competition for North America and Europe.

This first season sees the arrival of a new production studio, but also new match schedules! From this season on, not all matches will be commented directly. A selection of games will take place on Tuesdays while the weekly semi-finals and finals will take place on Thursday and Friday — for both regions, allowing you to follow the Overwatch League during the weekend.

To find out which teams will be competing directly in the Contenders, and which teams will have to start from the Contenders Trials, Blizzard has already organized a tournament — which now gives you an idea of this season's schedule.
