History

The franchise is owned by Kevin Chou, CEO of the KSV esports team. Seoul Dynasty was founded on October 26, 2017 after buying the entire Lunatic-Hai team in August.

The name Seoul Dynasty was chosen to reflect the past successes of their Overwatch APEX line-up and also refers, in the traditional sports world, to these teams associated with success and victory. The tiger in the logo is the symbol of South Korea expressing strength, courage and luck, while the golden color calls for royalty.
