For the start of the Year of the Phoenix in Hearthstone, the new Demon Hunter class has a big part to play in Blizzard's communication!
In six years of existence, it's the first time a new class has arrived and Illidan comes into play driven by fury and vengeance!
What better way to celebrate his arrival than including him into the hero pool of Battlegrounds?
In Hearthstone, the new Outcast keyword takes effect when you play a card from the left or right end of your hand.
In Battlegrounds, it's slightly different: the hero power of Illidan is also named Outcast but it makes your left- and rightmost minions attack immediately
It will give you a big advantage on your opponents since you will have the chance not only to attack first but also to do it twice before your opponent can do the same. The positioning will be all the more important because of the possibility of playing two cleaves minions on each side of your board.
There is no doubt that this advantage will be considerable, and that it will be imperative to play around it. Two attacks are twice as likely to get past the minions with Taunt — meaning you'll have easier access to your opponent's key minions.
Illidan will be available in Battlegrounds with the arrival of the next expansion on April 7th.
