Today is the departure of a great name from the Overwatch competitive scene. If you've been following the game for a while, you must have heard of him. He was part of Philadelphia Fusion, then Paris Eternal. He's a mechanical monster on Genji and Pharah and he's played every Overwatch World Cup with Russia — with which he finished second in 2016.

The Russian DPS explained in a TweetLonger that he has hardly played the game since the last World Cup. At a certain point, he said he stopped enjoying the game, and since then he had only played it for the competition. His departure from Paris Eternal has sealed his discontinuation of the game for the time being. This is only a goodbye for him as he doesn't refrain from coming back later.
He won't have been able to make enough impact to remain at the highest level, but there is no doubt that he will be able to make a comeback in the future, in Overwatch or other games (Valorant?). What it will probably have missed in OWL is the extreme flexibility that players are asked for today.
