If you are an avid Hearthstone player, you have probably reached this achievement several times in your career.
Whether you are an aggressive player, playing easy and fast lists to play a maximum of matches or a combo player for whom nothing beats a fine strategy or a control deck player, calculating each of his turns to prevent the opponent from unrolling its game plan — reaching the famous Legend rank is the Holy Grail for all types of Hearthstone player.
With the new ranked system, it was expected to see more people reaching that rank — but that much increase remains quite impressive.
With more than 100,000 Legends players in Standard mode, the Chinese server has accomplished a feat!
The European server is not to be outdone, with at least more than 55,000 Legends players this month.
The new ranked system is obviously responsible for such increase — but one cannot overlook the indirect impact of the Covid-19 which forced people to stay confined in most part of the world. Another potential reason is a certain revival of the interest in the game, whether with Battlegrounds or with the new class added to the game with Ashes of Outland.
