According to Eurogamer and notorious Call of Duty leaker Okami13, the next instalment in the Call of Duty franchise will be set in the Cold War.
The setting of the next game has been debated for the past few months and with several teasers within Warzone pointing towards a Cold War setting, it is looking more likely that a Black Ops reboot is on the cards.
Originally it was rumoured that the new release would be set in in the Vietnam war but it appears that the game will return to the Cold War.
At the Q1 conference call, Activision confirmed that CoD 2020 is still on course for a release later this year but it did not confirm the lead developer of the game.
It has been reported that Treyarch took over development of the new game from Sledgehammer Games earlier in the year but this has yet to be officially confirmed despite being common knowledge.
Is An Announcement Coming?
Typically, teasers for the new game begin to appear towards the end of May so it is widely expected for an official reveal of sorts will be coming towards the end of this month!
