Overwatch League: Coolmatt returns as General Manager of Houston Outlaws

The Houston Outlaws change their organization and recruit Matt "Coolmatt" Iorio — former professional player in the OWL — as General Manager.

Overwatch League: Coolmatt returns as General Manager of Houston Outlaws

Matt "Coolmatt" Iorio continues to climb the ladder! After competing for Houston Outlaws during the inaugural season of the Overwatch League in 2017, he became a full member of the technical staff that year. For season 4, he was appointed as General Manager of the roster.

This third season of the OWL wasn't the best for the Houston Outlaws who finished 16th in the regular season and last in the Playoffs (NA).

At this time, nothing guarantees a better future for the team. Since the end of the season, six players have left Houston Outlaws — Danteh, MekO, Jecse, Linzker, Blase and Muma — as well as the two coaches — Hooreg and Dream.

Only five players are listed on last season's team roster, and only one of those five players, Daniel "Boink" Pence, comes from the team's original roster.

As General Manager, Coolmatt will have to invest a lot of time and effort to restore the Houston Outlaws' image. His versatility will certainly benefit him in his new position.
