With the release of Black Ops Cold War right around the corner, Activision has confirmed the Warzone won't be changing.

Activision has confirmed that the engine used to power Warzone will not be changing once Black Ops Cold War has been integrated into the battle royale in December.

Activision's Art Lead confirmed the news on gaming forum ResetEra.

The news means that Warzone will be remaining on Infinity Ward's new engine made for the battle royale and Modern Warfare while Black Ops Cold War will run on Treyarch's new engine.

December will mark Warzone's transition away from Modern Warfare and into Black Ops Cold War.

Weapons, Operators, Battle Pass progression and more will be integrated across both titles, coinciding with the launch of Season One for Black Ops Cold War.

The latest Black Ops title launches on November 13th on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
