Hearthstone: Vanish, Mind Attack, new cards, Year of the Dragon

In the next Hearthstone patch, iconic class cards like Vanish and Mind Attack will go to the Hall of Fame. Ten new cards will be added, between neutral cards and a few other cards with strong identities.

Hearthstone: Vanish, Mind Attack, new cards, Year of the Dragon

Big news and a way of proceeding that has not yet been explored on Hearthstone! Two cards will be sent to the Hall of Fame during the year: Vanish and Mind Attack, cards that have been totally emblematic for 5 years now. Mike Donais had implied it in an interview a short while ago, and the developers think that these cards don't really correspond to what is expected from the class identity (especially for the Priest spell); the Vanish makes the game against the Rogue too complicated and unpredictable. These two cards will then be replaced by two new class cards to be discovered below.

Vanish and Mind Blast

Details about departures to the Hall of Fame

The Hearthstone team wanted to clarify a few points regarding future card replacements in the collection, and possible questions about arcane dust.

"All players who have Vanish and Mind Blast in their collection will automatically receive the new basic cards (Plaguebringer and Radiance) as soon as the patch is released. If they have unlocked the Wild mode, they will also keep Mind Blast and Vanish for this mode. If not, they will receive dust as compensation for the gold and non-gold versions. Vanish and Mind Blast will be directly replaced by Plaguebringer and Radiance in the Standard decks containing them."

Other cards will also be implemented to the base set to compensate for the loss of the old cards that have been sent to the Hall of Fame. Here is the list of the last eight:
