In Elden Ring, speedrunning has become quite common and every day players around the world challenge themselves in order to finish the game as quickly as possible. One of them called Distortion2 stands out for its exceptional performance. Previously, he finished the game in only 33 minutes and 55 seconds and at the start of the week, he fell below the symbolic bar of 30 minutes.
Finishing Elden Ring in less than 30 minutes
Distortion2 managed to finish the game live on Twitch in just 28 minutes and 59 seconds this time. His video was posted on YouTube channel and already has over 1.2 million views.
This is an "Any%" speedrun which means that all means are good to achieve it. We notice it in the video, the player uses glitches, shortcuts, save bugs, in short everything that can allow him to reach the final boss as soon as possible.
A record not recognized yet
All the speedruns of the various existing games are available on the Speedrun.com site which, for the page dedicated to Elden Ring does not display any record for the moment.
It won't be long, however, as it looks like Distortion2 is determined to beat its own records again and again. In the meantime, these feats make him a perfect candidate for the GamesDoneQuick event, which aims to bring together the best speedrunners who try live to break the records. The next edition will take place this summer and Distortion2 may be there!
