For 5 minutes of the Hogwarts Legacy State of Play, the devs were able to tell us more about the development of the RPG and shared someconcept art. The most "important" of these is the one that depicts the open world map, and if you look closer, you'll notice that it's actually only a small part of the map!
Hogwarts Legacy: a gigantic world to explore?
The gameplay offered in this Harry Potter RPG has probably exceeded the expectations of many fans. You can attend classes like any good self-respecting student, take care of a multitude of fantastic animals, face terrible enemies in dungeons including the great villain of the story, discover secrets hidden in the enclosure of school, make friends with other students, go shopping or concoct potions and arrange your own haven of peace (housing). But above all, one can freely explore Hogwarts castle , room by room, as well as the environments that surround it.
In the gameplay trailer, we then saw a lot of things, but we must admit that the free exploration passages in the open world remained rather discreet. We actually saw the protagonist explore a few rooms in the school, ride a broom to move slowly through the forbidden forest or even ride a Hipogriff but nothing more.
On this part of the map, we can't see the castle, proof that the latter is probably further away, on the side of the black lake. Of course, we don't have the scale of this map so we still have to wait for more information before being too hyped but hey, sounds go so far for fans doesn't it?
