The universe of FromSoftware's latest game is vast and full of mysteries of all kinds. As you progress through the Underworld, you will have the opportunity to discover them, but a little help is always welcome. It is to come to the aid of the Sans-splinters who absolutely want to know everything about Elden Ring that FromSoftware and the publisher Kadokawa have joined forces to create a paper guide. Thus, you will know every detail of the game at your fingertips!
A guide to discover them all
The guide, visible on Amazon Japan , is a large format of 592 pages sold at the price of ¥ 2970, or 22€ . Its release is scheduled for July 22 and is eagerly awaited by Sans-splinters around the world. Admittedly, it is only available (for the moment) in Japanese, but the English or French versions should be announced soon.
But then, what does this almost 600-page guide contain?
- Maps of all dungeons that cannot be noticed in the game. In addition to the location of objects and NPCs that can be encountered on the road, a flowchart traces the complete story until its end.
- Explanations for each technique , including status details, the effects of various anomalies, and weapon and ash enhancements.
- How to defeat the over 100 bosses that appear in the game. Explains in detail the characteristics of the bosses, their main attacks, their effective attributes, their pattern and their anomalies.
- Information on the locations of various NPC-related events as well as how to trigger them, how to complete every end of the game, even the most difficult ones.
- Enhancement settings for all weapon attributes , Ashes of War, Magic, and Summon details are presented with photographs. This guide also explains how to obtain all equipment (weapons, armor, talismans) and items (magic, summons, battle ashes, relics, tools, etc.).
The guide is therefore divided into four parts: system , story , enemies and data . Thanks to this, Elden Ring players will be able to discover every little detail of the game, and why not deepen their experience.
Are the guides still up to date?
It is true that a few years ago, paper guides were popular and were created for each major video game production. For a few years and with the arrival of the internet, guides are now very present online , and above all for free. The paper guide has lost its reputation, except… in Japan!
In the country of Nintendo, the paper guides still work as much and each major license has its own encyclopedia. Recently an Animal Crossing guide was released, referencing all the species of fish or insects that may appear in the museum, and how to find them. Who knows, maybe the paper guide will regain its former popularity in France?
Until the Elden Ring encyclopedia arrives in Europe, you can always consult our many guides if you want to know everything about the Underworld!
