When revealing a Call of Duty game, the developers always manage to leave some clues about the said game in question with some important details or about events or an upcoming game.
During the reveal of the real first official trailer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, this is exactly what happened, with the highlighting of the map of the next Battle Royale Call of Duty: Warzone 2 .
Infinity Ward teases Warzone 2 map
Of course, you had to have your eyes wide open to see this fairly substantial clue. But if you missed it, don't worry, our inveterate Call of Duty leakers are fortunately here to give us all the information you need to know.
Shortly after the reveal of the trailer, Tom Henderson , whom we no longer present, indeed posted a few tweets in which he was amused to see that the studio Infinity Ward seemed like nothing revealed the map of Warzone 2 . According to him, it appears in the trailer, and the latter posted a second tweet in which he highlighted the area demonstrated and concerned.
As a reminder, the Warzone 2 map should contain several well-known maps and would have a total of 18 POIs (points of interest) with: Oasis, Wartorn, Quarry (Quarry), Oilfield, Modern City (Highrise), Caves ( Afgan), Dam, Marshes, Harbor, Sira, Observatory, Mountain town (assumed Fevela), Graveyard, Oldtown, Shipwreck, Fishtown, Fort, Airport (Terminal). Obviously, nothing has been confirmed for the moment by Infinity Ward, who is at the head of Warzone 2, but the leaks are becoming more and more intense around this famous map, and doubt is no longer really allowed. .
A Battle Royale à la Blackout
According to several information, Warzone 2 would move further away from Warzone first of the name, to get closer to the Battle Royale of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, namely Blackout . Indeed, the latter should have similarities with Blackout, especially with regard to the inventory system.
In Warzone 2, players will have to get their hands on a backpack to be able to loot more items, and it's up to them to make full grenades or full killstreaks equipment. Moreover, with regard to armor, the system will also be quite similar to that of Blackout. From now on, it will indeed be necessary to loot an armor (level 1, level 2, level 3) but also some plates in order to be able to repair it.
In addition, the mechanics of swimming should make a big comeback, and if we are to believe the latest official information from Modern Warfare 2, we can almost confirm once and for all the latter for the Battle Royale.
