Overwatch will soon be available on Nintendo Switch, and a new IGN interview with Jeff Kaplan has revealed more about the Blizzard Vice-President's willingness to work with the makers of Super Smash Bros.
Game producers Wes Yanagi and Andrew Boyd had already expressed their views on the issue, and this interview with Kaplan has just made the offer even more formal.
According to Kaplan, the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team can have any of the 31 Overwatch heroes.
"To the Smash Brothers team, whatever character you want, we love them all. They’re all our babies, you can have any single one of them. We have 31 to choose from."
You may have guessed — even if Papa Jeff offers a free choice, he still prefers the addition of Tracer. In the end, she is the game's mascot. He also mentioned Doomfist, whose gameplay could be easily adapted for Smash Ultimate.
Nintendo has already announced that beyond the five Fighters Pass challengers, other characters would be available for purchase later. Can Kaplan convince the developers of Smash to include an Overwatch character? We can only hope!
