Thanks to the Virtual Ticket, Hearthstone players will be rewarded with two gifts:
• One BlizzCon 2019 card back;
• A brand new golden legendary card that will be unveiled during the event.
Last year, BlizzCon 2018 was an opportunity for Blizzard to reveal a brand new Hearthstone expansion: Rastakhan's Rumble! Also, they seized this moment to organize the Finals of the Hearthstone Global Games (HGG). We already know that the HGG are back, but this year it will be outside Blizzcon 2019.
However, we will have our tournament — and it won't be a little one...
Grandmasters Global Finals
During Blizzcon, the eight players who qualified at the outcome of GrandMasters Season 1 and 2 will compete for the $500,000 prize money! Two players from each region will have the chance to prove to the world that they are the best! In Europe, you can follow Casie and Fenomeno who will face PNC and bloodyface, from the Americas region, as well as tom60229 and Surrender from the APAC region. Leaoh and Liooon, from the Gold Series of China, will join them.
We know the names of the eight players that qualified for the BlizzCon 2019 Grand Finals — and the least we can say is that we expect this tournament to be spectacular!
A new expansion?
We are all waiting for it: a new expansion should appear during the Blizzcon. The Year of the Dragon has already seen the release of two expansions: Rise of Shadows and Saviors of Uldum. A third and final one is missing, and should be revealed during the event!
We had pretty well guessed the themes of the first two with Dalaran and Uldum, and there are only a few days left to find out if we are right with this last expansion! We expect a return of Deathwing, Bronze Flight or Iron Horde, although the first speculation is our preference. The presentation image shows a circle filled with flames, which could totally match.
A link could also be made with Heroes of the Storm, where the release of Death Wing has been announced!
Other surprises?
There are many rumors that this year's BlizzCon will be very busy and important. Blizzard has a huge card to play this year to make up for past mistakes and reassure its players, including the most loyal ones. We can only hope for an excellent convention, which would give all the publisher's games a bright future.
A nice surprise would be the arrival of a new game mode on Hearthstone ! Whether it's 2V2 or a tournament mode, extremely expected by players, a feature of this kind would add tremendous value to this convention! We will know more soon, with the program and the first conferences!
Blizzcon 2019 will be held on November 1 and 2. This year, the Virtual Ticket will give you cosmetics for all Blizzard licenses: from World of Warcraft to StarCraft II, including Diablo III, Hearthstone, Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm!
