Traveling long distances is quite common in Final Fantasy XIV but did you know you can speed up your mounts? Here is how you can get Riding Maps to make your mounts faster in FF14.

If you ever felt like your mount is quite slow while you're traveling in Final Fantasy XIV here is how you can get them to move quicker.

You can check your actual speed level in the Mount Speed menu. The first star represents the speed you should have unlocked with the main story quests and the second with an item: The Riding Map

In order to unlock the speed of your mount, you need to use the Riding Map. These items can be purchased with Allied Seal in your Grand Company Headquarters.

Riding Maps can also be obtained during Mog Treasure Trove events so make sure to check those too if you want to speed up your mounts!

This event is planned to come back on March 15 and will last until the 5.5 Update, you can learn more about the event right here.

NOTE

You can only use a Riding Maps once and buying multiple will not increase your speed further than the first one you used.
